Sheriff's detectives seized 1,600 marijuana plants valued at $4 million Thursday from three homes in the San Gabriel Valley.
Seven suspects were detained by detectives as investigators raided the residences as part of the two-month investigation, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said. Investigators also seized several firearms.
The homes were outfitted with sophisticated growing equipment.
Lt. Douglass Fetterol called pot cultivation a "scourge in our communities" and said department investigators were continuing their investigation.
