[Updated at 7 p.m.: A 110-acre brush fire in the Angeles National Forest near Palmdale is 40% contained, authorities said.
The Largo Vista fire, which was reported about 3 p.m., is burning just off Big Pines Highway, said Robert Brady, a spokesman for the U.S. Forest Service. Wind gusts are about 25 mph.]
Approximately 200 firefighters have responded to the scene along with two helicopters, two water tenders and an air tanker, Brady said.
One firefighter suffered a broken collarbone and was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital, Brady said. Mandatory evacuations have not occurred, although some residents voluntarily left the area.
U.S. Forest Service Fire Management, Los Angeles County Fire Department and San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters have all been dispatched to the scene, Brady said.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
