A Beverly Hills judge ordered Lindsay Lohan on Wednesday to undergo rigorous outpatient therapy for the next three months that will require regular counseling and keep her in Los Angeles.
L.A. County Superior Court Judge Elden Fox said Lohan will remain on supervised probation until November.
During that time, the actress must remain in L.A. and comply with random drug testing twice a week, participate in psychotherapy four times a week and meet with counselors five times a week, he said.
The order came after Lohan was released from in-patient therapy at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. She stayed at the hospital for 22 days.
Fox said Lohan will be jailed for 30 days if she misses or fails a drug test.
Fox signed off on Lohan's release Tuesday at 5 p.m. from the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. The actress left through a back door around 8 p.m.
After Wednesday's hearing, where Fox clarified the terms of probation, Lohan's lawyer told reporters that the actress had accepted responsibility for her actions and was ready for a fresh start.
“She has changed,” said Shawn Chapman Holley. “She’s healthy, she’s clearheaded, she’s positive.”
Lohan did not attend the hearing.
Holley said Lohan was released early from rehab “because the treating doctors at UCLA felt she had done everything required of her there.”
”They started their own fresh evaluation, put her through their own testing and recognized that there was no need for her to be there any longer,” Holley said.
Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in drug rehabilitation by L.A. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel for violating probation in her 2007 conviction for driving under the influence.
Lohan served only 13 days in jail because of overcrowded conditions and her good behavior.
