Remember last week's riveting photo op out of Miami Beach where we got to see Barack Obama order a deli sandwich while helping fellow Democrat Kendrick Meek campaign for the Sunshine state's open Senate seat?
Well, oops, Jerry's Famous Deli has since been cited for more than two dozen health safety violations. Apparently not the Democratic diners' fault.
But Linda Trischitta brings us the news that a state inspector found, among other violations, incorrect temperatures among some cooked and raw foods, improper handwashing and bare-hand contact with bread!
Last May another inspection found 19 violations, including contaminated potatoes and, eew, meat left unrefrigerated overnight. Would you like anything else, Mr. President?
An owner says the violations will be fixed for the follow-up inspection and adds that business is booming since the president's visit with many customers wanting the Obama special, pastrami to-go.
Good thing Obama didn't order the meatballs. Their sale was halted too.
