L.A. prosecutors are considering what charges to bring against a man with two knives arrested outside the home of Paris Hilton on Tuesday morning.

The suspect, Nathan Lee Parada, 31, was booked on suspicion of attempted burglary for allegedly trying to enter Paris Hilton’s Mulholland Estates home, said LAPD spokesman Richard French.

But law enforcement sources said prosecutors are still trying to determine exactly what the charges will be, and it's unclear whether the L.A. district attorney or L.A. city attorney will handle the case.

The incident occurred at 6 a.m. when the suspect approached the actress' home in the gated Mulholland Estates community. After banging on the door, Parada was confronted by Hilton's boyfriend, who was inside the house, the sources said. It's unclear whether the suspect knew he was at Hilton's home.

Someone in the house called the LAPD, which arrived and took Parada into custody.

Hilton posted a message on Twitter alleging that a man with two large knives was trying to break in. She posted a photo showing the alleged suspect in handcuffs with his back to the camera.

"So Scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes," Hilton tweeted.
