A 14-year-old girl was killed and six others injured Sunday in a shooting at a house party in Lancaster, sheriff’s officials said.
The shooting took place shortly before 1 a.m. at a home in the 44600 block of 6th Street East, according to Deputy Lillian Peck of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
The victims, who were Antelope Valley residents ranging in age from 13 to 26, were transported to a local hospital, where one was pronounced dead, authorities said.
No information was immediately available about the surviving victims’ conditions or the extent of their injuries, and their identities were being withheld pending notification of family.
